Welcome
Warm up your calves. Buzzfuel is back from its five year hiatus. And yes, we're on a mission. Maybe from God; maybe not. We're not really sure. There was no return address on the letter that had our instructions.
In a phenomena not yet understood by scientists and social anthropologists, the not-so-sleepy town of Austin has developed an unexplainable obsession with 80's cover music. The board of directors at Buzzfuel, Inc. believes this is more an illusion than anything else. After consulting with a team of experts in the industry (mostly janitors that work nights at the local radio stations), Buzzfuel has concluded that all the good Austin cover musicians have colluded and are playing only 80's rock in a misguided attempt to bring guitar shredding, soaring vocal lines, and bad hair styles back into the mainstream. From the looks of it, it's working.
If there's a band that can start reversing this frightening trend, we're convinced Buzzfuel is it. And so we've blown the dust off the guitars, put new batteries into our tuners...oh and found some great new talent to lead the charge--a crusade of sorts. Our mission is simple. We want to show that people can get excited about Greenday, Blink 182, Sublime and Jet, and that the mindless obsession with hearing Jessie's Girl and 867-5309 for the 1,724th time has not completely overcome the Austin population.
We've been rocking Austin since 1999, and even though we may have turned our backs on you for a few minutes (relatively speaking), we didn't abandon you. We're back and we mean business. So, eject Poison's Greatest Hits from your car CD player and get ready to bounce like a grasshopper on crack. We've missed you, Austin. We hope you've missed us, too.
